Toddler Ideas Tuesday: February 3, 2015- Yummy Valentine's Day Meal and Treat Ideas

Welcome back to Toddler Idea Tuesdays! I hope you will join with me again in sharing the fun activities, crafts, and lessons that you are doing with your young children.

Shall we continue counting down to Valentine's Day? It is now only 1 1/2 weeks away. I decided to spend these weeks leading up to Valentines Day sharing some toddler-friendly Valentines Day ideas on Toddler Idea Tuesdays. Two weeks ago, I shared a couple of simple Valentines toddlers can make. Last week, I shared toddler-friendly Valentine's Day crafts. This week I am going to be sharing some fun food ideas.

Let's start with a look at some yummy Valentine's related Muffin Tin Meals.

Several years ago I made the girls a H Muffin Tin around Valentine's Day. H was our letter of the week.

On Valentine's Day of that same year, I actually made them a Valentine's Day muffin tin.

The following year, I made them a Valentine's Love Muffin Tin.

A couple of years ago, I went all out and made special meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

For breakfast they had heart-shaped toast, X shaped sausage and O shaped Cheerios plus grapes and eggs. Harold was only a year old, so he got eggs and toast shaped like a heart. For lunch they had another muffin tin. And then for dinner they had:

Heart shaped salmon burgers.

I have usually focused on making meals fun for the children. However, a couple of years ago, we had a Kids and a Mom in the Kitchen time where we made these yummy treats:

If you would like more details on any of these meal/treat ideas, you can find full explanations at the linked post.

Now onto:

This week's randomly selected Valentine's Day post is:

Here is the other randomly selected post:

This post was also shared by Christianity Cove.  This fun science experiment is also great for learning about colors and there is a Bible lesson built in. Walking Water: A "Capillary Action" Science Experiment.

I would love to have you join in this week! What sort of activities do you do with your toddlers and preschoolers? Do you have some favorite activities you would like to share? I invite you to link up below. I will be pinning posts on my Toddler Ideas board and I would love to feature some of the activities each week from what is linked up. Please know I may share a picture from your post and link back to it, along with sharing how we used your idea in our toddler time. By linking up you are giving me permission to use a picture from your post. I will ALWAYS give credit and link back. Additionally, if you choose to try out any of the ideas with your toddler, please make sure you give credit where credit is due.

Linky will be open through Sunday night, to give me time to check out all the posts and get the Features organized. Please take the time to visit some of the other wonderful posts linked up.
